Trust Me!
Hello everyone, this is Mohammad Yusuf. I hope you all are fine and doing well. After a long gap I am back with a new poem. This time it is Chapter - 5 of the extraordinary story. This poem is in form of lyric. It is a beautiful tale of trust and true love. This is my attempt to show that how sometimes true love also get defeated. It is truly said that, "We only fall in love, we never rise." So with this line lets begin this beautiful story.
"Trust Me"
Hey girl, I am back again.
What to do I can't refrain myself from your essence.
I hope you would be reading my every note,
And telling your mates about the extraordinary relationship we mould.
Just to remind you of something unspoken and interesting,
You breathed life into me,
And then left me alone suffocating.
You remember, what a mess we made,
Trying to prove we don't need each other,
And you said, "Trust me, we are made for each other!"
Still many untold stories to tell,
Trapped in my own personal hell, waiting for hope to ring the bell,
Lost in a mind that has so much to tell,
Yet pain mutes my yell,
And you said, "Honey, trust me, you are doing well."
Look me in the eyes, you will see the calmness inside,
Look me through my eyes, you will see everything going wild.
Now what else is there we share,
Other than the absence of one another.
Yet you said, "Trust me, there is nothing to bother.
Just open the book of my love life,
Pages of earth, ink of rain,
Stories of falling, over and over again.
I invite you again to lose yourself in me,
Just the way rain seeps into the sea.
But I know again you will walk away by saying,
"Trust me, we will meet some day, I promise."
I think I tried too hard to love you,
But to love you without you was not an easy task at all.
You played with my heart,
Like an artist play with his art.
Still I will look at you same way as I looked for the first time,
And still you will say, "Trust me, our stars are not aligned.
I wanted to paint your portrait on my canvas through my imagination,
But I was afraid that you might not like the colours,
Which you changed quite often.
I saw you holding hands with someone,
Someone who might be perfect in handling your mess,
But not as good as me trusting you like a defeated soldier trust his queen in a chess.
I wanted to write those poetries on you,
But you never let me to speak,
Till now those words are silent, they only speak when I open my notebook.
I don't know why I am feeling toxicated and running out of breath,
May be because of the poison you fed me with the syrup branded as "Trust me" on its packet.
It took a long time for me to get that you only played a game with me,
The worst part of this is knowing that all along
I was nothing but a pawn in your game,
And you were the only one who had my heart.
No matter I lost everything in this epic game,
But honey, Trust Me I am eveready to play this again.
But this time trust me, I am not going to trust you again.
