Passion and Profession!

Hello everyone, I am Mohammad Yusuf. I have written this article by seeing the need of one of the most important topic of student life. I am talking about 'Passion’ and 'Profession'. Before talking about anything let's know the meaning of these two words. Passion means very strong feeling about something or for something. In simple words we can say that it means doing the work which you love to do. If you have passion to do something then you will do that work with zeal and enthusiasm. On the other hand, profession means a job which you do on commercial scale. In simple words we can say that it means work you do for earning money and for livelihood.

Now, there arises a very important question that- What is the relation between passion and profession? Answer for this is very simple. They are interdependent. If you want to become successful in life then you must use these two qualities very wisely. These two things play a vital role in shaping your career. If you wants to build a powerful and successful career then change your passion into profession or your profession into passion. Never do the work for which you are not passionate. If you will work by taking these two things in consideration then surely you will go in right direction.

In developing country like India, youths are suffering from a very big problem. They are not giving time to themselves. They are not trying to find their passion. There are many reasons for this problem-
1-Our restricted education system- The biggest reason for this is our restricted education system. Our education system do not allow us to think freely. There are many barriers in the mind of students. If any student tries to do new thing then either he will be punished or he will be suspended from school. Management create a fear of deducting marks in the minds of students. Also, they don't promote practical learning. Now, all the focus is on theoretical learning. Students are not able to recognize their passion and hence, choose wrong profession.

2-Choosing a profession forcefully- Second main reason is students choose their profession by seeing others or forcefully by others. This should not happen. Students should be educated how to know their passion and then convert it into profession. Parents and teachers should give time to their children and know their interests. They should never force them to choose any profession.

There are many examples in India who turned their passion into profession and are very successful. Some names are-
1- Kapil Sharma (Comedian)

2-Sanjeev Kapoor (Chef)

3- Navjot Sidhu (Cricketer, Commentator, Politician, Media Icon, Speaker)

4-Vijay Shekhar (Founder of PAYTM)

5-Sandeep Maheshwari (Motivational speaker and Entrepreneur).

So, I want to conclude this article by saying that-
“The shortest way to success is to turn your passion into profession or turn your profession into passion”.

With Regards,
Mohammad Yusuf.
